We Built This Tee

America loves to celebrate itself — the fireworks, the flags, the speeches about two hundred and fifty years of freedom. But this shirt cuts through the noise with a truth the country still refuses to say out loud: Black Americans built the foundation of this nation, and America has never paid the bill.

For over 200 years, this country ran on free Black labor — stolen labor — the kind that built its farms, its ports, its economy, its wealth, and its global power. While America was cashing in, Black people were chained, beaten, sold, and worked to death, generating profit they would never see and building a nation that would deny them humanity, rights, and recognition.

So while America throws its two hundred and fiftieth ‑year celebration, this shirt stands in the middle of the party like a slammed door. It says: Don’t celebrate what you refuse to acknowledge. It says: Don’t wave a flag built on labor you never paid for. It says: WE BUILT THIS — and America still hasn’t said thank you.

This isn’t just apparel. It’s a statement of history and pride.
It honors the ancestors who labored without pay, the generations who fought for recognition, and our people who continue to shape America’s culture, strength, and identity.
